the phuket saga

just got back from phuket.


am sure many of you would have heard/read abt the terrible incident. well, i'm back safe & sound. praise the Lord!


it was rather chaotic. was in the minivan, on the way to the airport with a bunch of my colleagues when jon called with the news. 'all flights cancelled'! at first, we didn't really believe it. till we got to the airport & realised how chaotic the situation was.


i have to say, silkair does a great job. once we got there, we only had to wait a little while, less than half hr. and, we were scooted off to a hotel, which also provided a buffet dinner for us. the next day, breakfast & lunch were provided too. and we managed to get a flight. so, total delay was only about 24hrs.


oh yea, phuket was damn boring. it was the monsoon season. i wonder why the company chose to go there. no shopping. no beach. so, i ate. and ate. and ate. feeling fat now.
